Yearbook Photos

The Yearbook committee is still looking for photos. If anyone has pictures of CYO teams and player action shots, please submit them for the yearbook. At this time we have very few teams represented. We also need pictures of class field trips, parties, special events—masses, concerts, etc. Please submit photos on a CD to either office. Pictures need to be at least 300 dpi. If you have less than 10 photos you may email them to Tyra Kennedy at tk9800@ihmail.com. Thank you!

Walk-a-thon News

Pledge forms are coming home in today’s Thursday envelope.  Each family is required to procure at least $100 in donations.  This is stated in your registration contract.  Pledges are due Friday, May 21.

Please remember the WAT is held as two separate events.  K – 1st grade will have their WAT on Wednesday, May 5 on the Issaquah playground lot.  Grades 2 - 8 will have their WAT on Thursday, May 6 on the Snoqualmie campus.  Please click here for a detailed schedule.  Bus service will be provided for Grades 2 - 3 to arrive prior to the start of the WAT.  Permission slips for Grades 2 – 3 will be coming home from the teachers next week.

Parents, please plan on picking up your 2nd – 8th students on the Snoqualmie campus after the WAT.  Students will be dismissed at 3:00 pm.  The after school bus from Snoqualmie to Issaquah will only be available to students signed up for after care.

Students will have free dress on the day their grade participates in the WAT.  Please watch the weather and pray for sunshine!

We are also in need of large coolers and portable canopies.  If you have either to loan, please contact our WAT co-chairs.

If you would like to volunteer, we have lots of opportunities.  Please contact our chairs Theresa Baker at Theresa@BakerIG.com or Malou Leonardo at bcleonardo@msn.com.

Mariners Night

Mark your calendars for St. Joseph School Friends & Family Night at Safeco Field on Friday, May 7th.  The Seattle Mariners will be playing the Los Angeles Angels.  Check out the attached flyer for ticket details. Click here for the flyer.  If you have questions, please contact our parent coordinators,  Michael Senger at Michael.senger@hubinternational.com or Gavin Skok at gskok@Riddellwilliams.com.

Shape Up Across Washington

We are almost to the end of our journey. Mileage Logs should be filling up. Please continue to mark your log until the end of the month. You may be starting back by now. At the end of the month parents should sign anywhere on the calendar to validate your student’s work and send it back to school. This is homework.  I am not asking anyone to change what they are currently doing for exercise but just to record what they already do. If you choose to do more that is fine. Thank you for supporting this journey.  Jane Hughes

Parish Food Drive - Ongoing

Canned food. Baby food. Staples like flour, sugar and cooking oil. Peanut butter and bread for kids’ lunches. Pasta. Chili. Salt. Anything. The soup you don’t have room for. The vegetables that were on sale. The cereal your baby doesn’t like. If it’s good food—unopened and unexpired—the Issaquah Food Bank really needs it. Families in crisis means pets in crisis—and a desperate need for pet food, too. Don’t let your neighbors go hungry tonight. Please give what you can. Food donations may be left in the Church, downstairs next to the elevators.

ST JOSEPH HAS A NEW WEB SITE!

This first-phase launch gives parishioners and others who want to learn about our parish easier access to more information. New features include: a search engine, upcoming events, online form submissions for parish registration, publicity requests, room requests, and more. Visit often! www.sjcissaquah.org
