INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Annual Fund
The
2009-10 Where the Difference Counts Annual Fund is underway! The Annual
Fund is our second largest fundraiser and plays a vital part in the day
to day operations of the school. The goal for this year is $100,000 and
the key to reaching our goal depends on everyone’s participation.
Many thanks to all of you who have pledged
for the 2009-10 school year. We greatly appreciate your
contributions. If you need to pledge for this school year, a reminder
letter was mailed home. Please remember as noted in your
Tuition and Fundraising Agreement, pledge cards are due by October 31,
2009. You have until May 31, 2010 to complete payment on your pledge.
There is still time to add your pledge to
your monthly tuition statement. Please email Carol Willard at
cwillard@sjsissaquah.org to make
arrangements.
If you have any additional questions, please
contact our co-chairs - Doug and Kristi Rigoni at
mamarigoni2@comcast.net or Vaughn and
Marti Bohn Himes at
bohn-himes@comcast.net.
Parents' Club
Please join the St.
Josephs' Parents Club on Monday, November 2 at 9:00 am in Issaquah. You
will be able to meet this year's board members, hear what we are working
on and bring any suggestions you may have. See you there!
Book Fair
The 2009 Scholastic book fairs at the
Issaquah and Snoqualmie campuses earned combined profits this year of
$4,564. The book fair is the primary source of new books for our school,
specifically supporting the classroom and the campus libraries.
We added more than 550 new books using our
fair profits this year.
·
Teachers selected over 430 books for their classroom library
·
Librarians added more than 70 new titles for the school libraries
·
MQP preschool added 37 new books
·
St Joseph Parish library received 14 new books
Many thanks go out to the volunteers that
assisted the book fair with set up, pack up, cashiering, and helping
children create wish lists. We’d also like to thank our school and
parish families that SHOP the fair, shopping at the fair is what makes
it
successful. Thank you also to the families that purchased books for the
classroom from a teacher’s wish list. Those books are not included in
the numbers above. We look forward to another successful book fair next
fall.
ISSAQUAH CAMPUS LOST & FOUND GOING,

Calling all desserts! Calling all desserts!
What's that saying? If you want something done, ask a busy
woman? Yes, it's true! I know you all are very busy people and I
appreciate you taking the time to consider a unique way to
support the St. Joe's Auction. Please understand, I do not
assume you are sitting around eating bon-bons, reading cookbooks
and waiting to harvest your organic cocoa plants. (But if you
are, call me! I'll bring a movie!) Far from it! However, the St.
Joe's auction is on Saturday, November 21 and once again, a
dessert auction is one special way to contribute to its'
success. Please call/email me if you're interested in providing
a gourmet dessert. Thank you!
