AUCTION

Auction News!

We would like to extend our most heartfelt gratitude for your generous support in procurement, donations, sponsorship (www.sjsissaquah.org), purchases and fund-an-item donations at our Faithful Friends dinner auction held on November 21!!!  The success that it was, would not have been possible without everyone’s generosity and for the many volunteers that made the night happen--for this we are very blessed!!!  We are looking forward to sharing our numbers with you very soon.  In the meantime, we welcome your compliments and comments.

A few housekeeping notes, several certificates that were generated by the auction committee will be sent via email, other certificates purchased on the night of the auction that were not picked up will be coming home in the Thursday envelope along with auction statements. If you do not receive your statement or certificate today, it will be mailed to you.  Please take a few minutes to check your statement.  This statement will also reflect any donations that qualify for company matching programs.  Please note more and more companies are having employees complete this online.  This is a great opportunity for us to further the success of the auction.

We still have some items available.  Please visit http://sjsissaquah.maestroweb.com to purchase tea towels, reserve a spot to play chess with Fr. Bryan and Fr. Kevin, join the Get a Clue Scavenger Hunt, purchase tickets to Movie Night featuring Elf – rated PG on Dec. 13 at 6pm, or donate to Fund-a-Item.

Wanted: Marketing Expert(s) for School Development

Enrollment for the coming school year is just around the corner.  We’re looking for a 2-3 volunteers to help develop and implement (no you don’t just get to talk about it, you have to do it to) a targeted marketing plan to drive up enrollment at our school.  SJS is a great place for kids and families alike and produces outstanding results.  We’d like a team to help us spread the word.  Some potential projects that are on the horizon:

  • GIS work on current,  alumni, and prospective school families

  • Developing a marketing plan to drive enrollment at the school for this year and years to come.

  • Implementing the plan.

  • Designing, implementing and analyzing surveys of parish families with school age children that don’t send their children to SJS or other Catholic schools.

If you have a background in business development and implementation of marketing plans, are goal oriented and data driven, we’d love to have your help.  If you’re interested, please contact the School Commission President, Kurt Soldenwagner.

Volunteers Needed

There are still several volunteer opportunities available for this coming school year, such as Parents' Club VP, Volunteer Coordinator, Homeroom Coordinator for Issaquah, Walk-a-Thon Chairs and Mariners Night Chair.

Remember, you are required to fulfill a total of 45 hours, with 5 hours devoted to the auction. Please look under the Auction News for volunteer ideas.

Please contact lisa.scott@scottholdings.net to find the right volunteer job for you.
