Community Service
Throughout the year, students participate in
community service projects. Projects include: making
sandwiches for the Lazarus House; collecting supplies for the
Lazarus House; collecting food for the Issaquah Food Bank;
collecting funds for disaster relief, such as Hurricane Katrina and
Tent City 4; and
collecting money and/or supplies for a Mexican Orphanage. The
News and Events page will provide additional information on the
community service effort for the current month.
Chess Club
St. Joseph School
offers students an opportunity to participate in a Chess Club. The club is
very popular. Students have the opportunity to participate in tournaments
throughout the year. Several trophies have been earned by St. Joseph
students.
The Snoqualmie
Campus Chess Club is currently looking for someone interested in leading this
fun group of students. If this sounds like your move, please contact Christine
at the Snoqualmie campus at 888-9130.
The Issaquah Campus chess
Club meets, Fridays at 8:15 a.m. in the church hall.
All abilities are welcome.
Scouts
Currently, St. Joseph School is forming one Daisy
troop and has several Brownie/Girl Scout troops.
Daisy Girl Scout Troop
A Daisy Girl Scout Troop is forming for
Kindergarten and Pre-K girls ages 5-6. If you are interested, please

Junior Girl Scout Troop 1985
Junior Girl Scout Troop 1985 will be meeting the
2nd and 4th
Mondays of the month, from 3:00-4:30. We will meet in the
Art Room at the Snoqualmie Campus. All fifth grade girls are
invited to attend. If you have at questions, please contact Patty
Maddock.
Girl Scout Troop 1125. Our
troop includes third and fourth grade girls at St. Joseph School. We meet twice a month after school in the church hall.
Last year, we donated over $300.00 of our cookie
sales money to Treehouse, a non-profit organization that serves
children who are in foster care. We did so by shopping at
Target as a troop, and purchasing items that the children at Treehouse needed for summer camp.
This year, we will again be selling cookies,
taking a cake decorating class, marching in the Salmon Days Parade,
and getting together to have fun and grow friendships.
