The Parents’ Club holds monthly
meetings to discuss volunteer opportunities for the school and
Parish, various school events, and other pertinent information.
These meetings are open to all parents. The times and dates of the
meetings will be decided by the Parents’ Club Board and the schedule
will be publicized.
One of the main purposes of the
Parents’ Club is to provide volunteer support for the school
community. In that regard, please remember that St. Joseph School
requires all school families to commit to a minimum of 45 volunteer
hours between July 1 and May 1 by volunteering for school
activities and/or parish activities. A minimum of 5 hours of the 45
hours total must be volunteered in some capacity for the Annual
Auction.
The Parents’ Club also provides
educational and recreational opportunities for St. Joseph School
parents. As needed and/or available, the Parents’ Club hosts
educational evenings relating to the school curriculum or other topics of interest. The Parents’
Club also tries to provide at least one social evening for parents
only. In past years that event has been Karaoke but this year will
have a new event. Many Parents’ Club opportunities, especially
educational and recreational opportunities, are based on parent
feedback. Please attend the monthly meetings for more information
and to provide input on what topics/events are chosen. |
